Hello Everyone!
Author: Mouli Dixit
Being a CA aspirant, I think I can guide you well. We are going to talk in detail with a pragmatic approach.
Okay, let's start our serious talk.
Study Session 1- 4:30AM -7:30AM 3 Hours
Study Session 2- 8:00AM -11:30AM 3 Hours 30 minutes
Study Session 3- 1:00 PM -4:00 PM 4 Hours
Study Session 4- 6:00PM - 8:00PM 2 Hours
TOTAL 12 hours 30 minutes
You might be thinking How can I manage this content writing with studies. Let me tell you, it took me one and half day to complete a blog, usually I write between 4:30 PM - 6:00PM . To be very honest now I am too much familiar with my schedule, literally it has become my habit. I'll tried my best to help you, so please read this till end.
First ask three questions from yourself
- Which exam preparation I am doing now?
- Number of hours I am studying now, is sufficient to crack that exam?
- What would happen if I'll not give my best?
What can you do?
- Take a paper, and just start writing about your preparation for exams.
- Write in detail about each subject.
- Ask from yourself, Is this sufficient?
- Then make a heading what you can do now.
- Just start writing about solution.
- Try to analyze
- Everything.
- Everything.
- Everything.
- Everything.
- Everything.
- Everything.
- Nothing.
- Nothing.
- Nothing.
Studying effectively for 12 hours requires
- Enough sleep to have a fresh mind every day.
- Little to no distractions during study hours.
- Enjoyable activities/hobbies to do during break time to rejuvenate.
- Studying continuously for 3 hours (depending on what exam(s) you’re preparing for).
- A little exercise/meditation time daily.
- A plan that broadly details the topics you’ll cover in a day.
The most important thing is to try to stick to the timetable. However, some days might not be as effective as other days. On those days, you might skip any class or study session, so try to manage that time on another day.
First, question yourself: why did you decide to study for such long hours? Probably there is an exam or something that you think you would accomplish by studying that much. Studying for long hours may not guarantee that you will achieve what you are looking for; it’s about how much knowledge you have acquired. Studying for long hours needs great determination and commitment, and you have to come out of your comfort zone. You have to sacrifice your most lovable activities. You have to develop a habit of waking up early, followed by good exercise or running. If possible, meditate and start your day with a positive note, dividing those hours in a planned way.
Just think:
- The purpose that doesn't let you sleep.
- About your parents' happiness when you succeed.
- About the people who have highlighted your capabilities in a negative way.
- About success.
- About any insults, if any.
There would be a lot of factors to motivate yourself; it just varies from person to person. Just think about yours and start your mission with great discipline and determination.
The motivation is: you are more likely to have a better future if you have good grades and scores. Those who feel that 'a single piece of paper can't determine your future,' that is true, but in only 1 out of 14,000,605 futures would you be a billionaire. The rest will end up being poor and cursing the system.
Most of you need no motivation at all. What you need is a getaway from distractions. No one, I mean no one out there craves poor marks. Everyone wants to study. You just get carried away by distractions a lot. Shut down your phone in those 3-hour slots. Everything will automatically be fine. Even if you study 7 hours and sleep for 7, you would have 10 hours left per day for yourself. Spend it on improving yourself rather than on Facebook.
